Part 2: Hands-On Workshop

Thursday, December 10, 2026 | 6:30–8:30 PM

Presented by Dr. Andrew Dela Rama

Course Description

This two-part course teaches a practical chairside workflow for producing retainers, splints, sports guards, and bleaching trays—from intraoral scanning and digital design to printing, finishing, and delivery.

Participants will learn how Zylo3D’s compact, all-in-one system automates printing, washing, and curing to reduce manual work, staff time, and equipment footprint.

Bringing these appliances in-house can enable same-day delivery, improve control over quality and fit, and potentially save practices $30,000 or more annually, depending on case volume.

Learning Objectives

  • By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Identify appropriate clinical applications for 3D-printed retainers, splints, sports guards, and bleaching trays.
  • Capture accurate intraoral scans and bite records for each appliance.
  • Explain key CAD design considerations, including fit, retention, thickness, relief, and occlusion.
  • Prepare digital files for printing, including resin selection, orientation, and support generation.
  • Describe the complete printing, washing, curing, support-removal, and finishing process.
  • Explain how an automated, all-in-one workflow can reduce manual handling, staff time, equipment requirements, and the learning curve.
  • Evaluate appliance fit, comfort, retention, and occlusion before delivery.
  • Compare in-house production with traditional laboratory workflows based on cost, turnaround time, and quality control.
  • Develop a practical plan for introducing chairside 3D printing and expanding into additional clinical applications.
